Citizenship test flashcards

Civico's practice is a flashcard: the question on one side, the official answers on the other. You say the answer out loud, flip, and mark whether you knew it. Missed cards come back. The cards are the official lists, word for word.

How the cards work

  1. A question from your test's list (2025: 128 questions; 2008: 100) appears, in English or Spanish with the English under it.
  2. Say the answer out loud, the way you will in the interview.
  3. Tap Show the answer: USCIS's accepted answers, every one of them, word for word.
  4. Tap I knew it or I missed it. Missed cards are repeated in the "missed only" run.

Why say it out loud

The civics test is oral: "The 2025 naturalization civics test is an oral test consisting of 20 questions from the list of 128 civics test questions." There are no choices on the screen, so a card you only read silently is a card you may freeze on. Saying the answer first is the whole point of these cards.

Free and paid

10 cards and one mock interview a day are free, no account. The Pass Pack ($14.99 once, nothing renews) opens every card of both tests in order, shuffled or missed-only, unlimited mock interviews, and the reading and writing word lists, for one year on your device.

Printable cards

Civico does not print cards. USCIS's own PDFs are free to print: the 128 questions (2025 test) and the 100 questions (2008 test); cut each question with its answers. The answers that change (current officeholders) are on this page with the date we checked.
